Blast Inspection - Pre and Post Blast
Rick Groll performs preblast inspections in a videotape format. The inspection service is a comprehensive visual examination of property to document conditions prior to nearby blasting activity.
The preblast inspection is an offer by the blasting contractor to demonstrate to the owners of property near an area of anticipated blasting that the activities are not damaging to the surroundings. A thorough interior and exterior documentation of the condition of improved property is a cost-effective measure to contain unwarranted claims of damage or to define the extent of liability in the event that some form of damage is incurred from the blasting activity.
Post-blast inspections are valuable. Performing an identical inspection after blasting is completed to that which was performed prior to blasting establishes a window in which changes in property condition could have occurred. The post-blast inspection can help rule out a causal relationship between the blasting activity and adjacent property damage which occurrs after completion of nearby blasting.
